Dries Van Noten has given woman what they really wants out of fashion with this fall. What women want out of fashion is a sense of who they are without compromising themselves within the clothing. Van Noten has yet again created a collection that allows a woman to be confident, but yet sublimingly traditional, fresh and cool, giving a woman the urge to want to buy it all. With basic shapes and assortment of garments, he brings back the staples in fashion with utilitarian function, that gives every single woman the feeling of being inherently chic, an effortless style with some pizazz; a sense of elegance that was prevalent in his last collection. This line consists of menswear tailoring, luxurious fur scarves and vests, silk abstract dresses and skirts with 50's, 60's, and 70's shapes, evidently paying homage to those decades. Some ladylike silhouettes were paired with sweatshirts and crisp cotton shirts that gave each piece an individuality but cohesiveness that was prevalent within the collection. For evening, hand-painted silks came down the runway displaying his sense of art, in deep green, purple and blue with abstract floral prints. A long floor length magenta printed skirt was paired with a deconstructed gym shirt, and as for an element for surprise, he added a crisp green cotton shirt underneath. A black lace dress embroidered with white pearls was subdued by army khaki sleeves, it was just enough to make the dress young but seasoned. He also incorporated the key pieces each woman needs or might even have in her closet. The mix and Match of colors, Materials, and textures helped create a Collection that Left you with an imprint of fashion through dries van noten's eyes, an attainable impression that makes fashion worth dreaming, presenting a current yet sustainable timeless line.
